Saturday 23nd July - Day 87

Completed the 4th step.

After much thought I have actually cut the first stringer. Given the amount of time I have spent on the stairs, it is clear I am not going to make any money out of it if I am to change profession.

Friday 22nd July - Day 86

More stair framing, among other things (mopping up the water from all the rain, collecting timber for the stringers and treads, etc)

Thursday 21st July - Day 85

This bracket to to allow me to cut the main timber that supports the stairs. 8mm steel should do the trick.

Finally after much thought about how to finish the stairs, I have actually started to build them.

Wednesday 20th July - Day 84

I needed to complete all my wiring before any plastering can occur.
The rumpus room surround sound wiring aand all (most) the network cabling is done.

The laundry needed a false ceiling to be able to hide the pipes and also cater for the laundry chute from the girls bathroom.

The upper north wall needed a 30mm packer to allow for the difference between the ground floor where there is hardwood (100mm) and weatherboard (20mm) compared to the 90mm framing timber available today.

Tuesday 19th July - Day 83

The renderers started today. A big milestone me thinks..
