Wednesday 11 May - Day 37

A much better day today. We finished our bedroom verandah and started the ceiling joists.
The verandah had a few issues, mainly due to the differences in the timber sizes. The north beam between the two corner posts (4.8m long) is made of Hyspan and the other two beams (1.5m long) are exterior primed pine. The pine is 230mm high and the hyspan is 240mm high. As we were expecting them both to be 240mm we needed to add 10mm of packing at the top so that the bottom lines up correctly. Luckily the corner quad will cover the issue.

The ceiling joist were fairly stright forward and we managed to get main part of our bedroom done.

The first ceiling joist.
